Welcome to the Nordic Championship for girls 2018, hosted by the Icelandic Chess Federation.

The tournament and the accommodation will take place in Borgarnes (Hotel Borgarnes: http://hotelborgarnes.is)
Borgarnes is situated in the west coast of Iceland – 72 kilometres distance from Reykjavik.

The schedule is subject to change if necessary. The final schedule will be published after the registration deadline.
Five rounds using the Swiss system. Each player gets 90 minutes with a 30 seconds increment for every move. The tournament is divided into three age groups, from A to C, with two players per country in each group. The organizer can invite extra players – but not more than 49% of players can be from the same nation.
- Class A: For players upto 20
- Class B: For players upto 16
- Class C: For players upto 13
The Icelandic Chess Federation covers accommodation and food for two players in each group and one team leader from each country – 2 x double room + 1 x triple room.
The cost for accompanying persons:
- Single room Ikr. 13.900.- per person per night
- Double room Ikr. 10.900.- per person per night
- Triple room Ikr. 8.900.- per person per night
Accompanying persons have to pay to their national federation, which in return will be invoiced by the organizer.
Because of early flights on Monday morning the organizer will provide a bus from Borgarnes to Keflavik airport. The price depends on how many will book on the bus.
